Our Story

We are a Christian family from Nazareth, the town of Jesus. Our work is simple yet deeply meaningful. We share handcrafted creations from the Holy Land with people around the world and help sustain the communities that keep this sacred craft alive.

Nazareth Fair Trade is part of who we are. It is not only our work but also our way of staying connected to our land, our faith, and the families who have carried this tradition through generations.

Each piece in our collection, whether a cross, a rosary, an icon, or a nativity set, is made by Christian artisans in Nazareth, Bethlehem, and across the Galilee. These are families we have known for many years. Most of them work from small workshops, continuing a heritage rooted in faith and patience. Their work is unhurried and attentive, shaped by devotion, experience, and respect for the olive wood they use.

In the same town where Jesus lived and worked beside Joseph, shaping wood with His hands, this tradition continues. The same olive trees that have grown in these hills for centuries still provide the wood for our artisans today. Their craft carries the same spirit of humility, dedication, and care that once filled the carpenter’s workshop in Nazareth.

From the carpenter’s bench of Nazareth to the present day, olive wood remains a sacred material. Each piece carries its own tone and grain, shaped by the age and character of the tree it came from. The natural variations and small marks in the wood are part of its story, a reminder that it once lived and grew in this land. Nothing we offer is mass produced.

Our family now lives in Sweden, where we carefully prepare and send each order ourselves. Every item is checked by hand before it is packed, to make sure it arrives safely and in good condition. The making of each piece remains in the Holy Land, where the artisans live and work, yet the spirit travels with every parcel we send.

When you choose something from Nazareth Fair Trade, you stand with Christian artisans who hold onto hope and heritage in uncertain times. You help preserve a sacred tradition of craftsmanship in the land where Jesus once walked. You choose something made with real hands, real stories, and real love.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping keep the light and spirit of the Holy Land alive, one handmade piece at a time.
