This olive wood cross with cotton cord is handmade in Nazareth of one solid piece of top-grade olive wood. All material that forms this charming cross is exceptional and made with diligent craftsmanship. On top of that, the cotton cord may be adjusted to the preferred size so that anyone can wear it.
Our products are hand carved by our artists from blocks of fragrant wood, and their fragrance and appearance guarantee both a spiritual and visually perceptible experience. The fish engraved on this cross is a reminder of how Christians used to identify themselves to each other in secret because they did not want to be overheard by their persecutors when they were worshiping Christ. The legend has it that when an early Christian met a stranger, he or she could draw half of the fish on the ground. If the stranger completed the sketch, they would both know they were Christians.
Usually, the cross is worn to signify one's faith and as a constant reminder of Jesus Christ. It's a piece of souvenir that keeps us mindful of our words and actions directing us towards the righteous path.
