Handcrafted in Nazareth from Holy Land olive wood, this Russian Orthodox cross necklace features the traditional three-bar form of the Eastern Church. The upper beam recalls the inscription placed above Christ, the central beam forms the arms of the Cross, and the slanted lower beam represents the footrest associated with the two thieves crucified beside Him.
Each pendant is carved from olive wood with its own natural grain and rests on a soft cotton cord. Available in three sizes, it is a meaningful choice for Orthodox Christians and anyone drawn to the history and symbolism of the Russian Orthodox cross.

Not much to be said, came exactly as pictured. Simple cross that's been stained and varnished so it will hold up well for a long while. Varnish is well done and leaves the cross with a smooth shiny surface.
